Organise your own fundraiser You don't need to wait to start fundraising for MHM, you can organise your own activity to help raise money for our valuable cause. Whether it's a bake sale, a charity run, or a quiz night, your efforts can make a difference to people living with mental health challenges. Getting started The best way to kick start your fundraising is to set up an online giving page. This is simply a digital sponsorship form that makes it easy for you to spread the word about your challenge and for your supporters to make a donation. You'll have your own web page to share, people can donate directly to it, and the money gets automatically sent to us. It takes all the hassle out of collecting donations so you can focus on your fundraising. Here are some ideas to get started fundraising online: Make it personal: Let people know why you have chosen Mental Health Matters and why you are fundraising for us. Letting people know why you are raising funds helps them to connect to you. Photos and more Photos: Get your camera or mobile phone out and get lots of great shots. Do not forget to ask for a T-shirt. You can take photos of your venue, your latest training session, your best cakes. Whatever it is that you are doing its great to show it off! Let everyone know: Don't be shy! Make sure you contact everyone and let them know what you are doing. Ask them to pass it onto to their friends and family as well, before you know it you will have built up a great following. How your donations can help make a difference If you're interested to learn more about how we support people with mental health needs, why not take a look at our latest impact report or look at our 'Your Stories' page. You can also follow us on Twitter or Instagram for regular updates from across the organisation. Not in a position to donate? Don't worry, you can still support us by simply sharing our appeal on social media. Manage Cookie Preferences
