Mental Health Awareness Week: Small Actions, Real Impact Mental Health Awareness Week is a reminder that looking after our wellbeing isn't something we do once a year, it's something we build through small, consistent actions. At work, those small actions can make a big difference, for us and for the people around us. Sammy Tyler, Senior Employment Advisor shares a few simple things you can do to help support your mental health at work. Here are a few simple things you can do to help support your mental health at work: Take micro breaks: A two minute pause to stretch, breathe, or step away from your screen can reset your focus and reduce stress more than you might expect. Set gentle boundaries: Protecting your time isn't selfish. Blocking out focus time, taking your full lunch break, or logging off on time helps maintain balance. Check in with yourself: Notice how you're feeling throughout the day. Asking yourself, "how am I doing right now?" can help you catch stress early and respond before it builds. Reach out when you need support: Whether it's a colleague, a manager, or an employee support service, talking to someone you trust can lighten the load. Connect with others: A small chat, a shared coffee, or simply asking someone how they’re doing can strengthen relationships and boost everyone's wellbeing. Celebrate small wins: Acknowledge what you've achieved each day, even if it’s something small. Progress is progress. Just remember - you've got this, and if you're struggling don't be afraid to reach out for support.
